Background

Throughout his career, Phil Lawson has specialised in insurance, commercial and personal injury litigation and advice. In recent years he has practiced solely as a solicitor with emphasis on professional indemnity, liability, insurance and commercial disputes and advice.

Phil also practices in media law, providing both pre and post publication advice to a high profile South Australian commercial television station, several newspapers and other media outlets.

He acts for insurers in relation to defamation claims. Phil also continues to represent insurers and media outlets in relation to major professional indemnity, liability and defamation litigation.

A recognised professional leader in insurance law, Phil has chaired a statutory authority, and has been active on a number of Law Society Committees.
