Background

Candida has many years' experience acting for insurers in a wide range of different areas including:

• Public and products liability
• Professional indemnity
• Directors’ and officers’
• Industrial special risks
• Contract works

Candida handles claims for insurers as well as providing advice on policy drafting and interpretation.

Candida also has a particular interest in media law and has acted for all of Adelaide’s major media outlets, both electronic and print media. Candida has much experience in providing pre-publication advice and in challenging suppression orders in court.

Candida is a Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Australian Air Force Specialist Reserve and is studying for a Graduate Diploma of Military Law.

In 2003 Candida spent a year working in a law firm in Sweden and gained exposure to many European commercial transactions, including sales and mergers of insurers.

Candida is a senior member of Adelaide’s legal profession and has been appointed to sit on many boards and committees including:

• Law Society of SA Council
• Law Society of SA Community Relations Committee

Candida is a member of the Australian Insurance Law Association, the Women Lawyers’ Association of SA and the Law Society of SA.
